What is going on? Santa was puzzled. It was the night on Christmas Eve. An elf popped out of Santa’s bag and reported that all the elves are going on strike because they work very hard to make all the presents but they don’t get paid at all. “But what about about the kids? They need their presents!” Santa remarked. ” We know. But we are not servants. We have to get paid to work.” said the elf. The elf came out of the bag and marched towards his house. Santa knew that the elf wasn’t joking about the eleves going on strike since he couldn’t find any of the marvelous gifts that they usually make.
Santa paced back and forth. If he didn’t have any presents, Christmas would be ruined. He won’t have the presents unless the eleves got back to work and they wouldn’t do that until Santa decided to pay them. The elves were thinking the same thing. ‘It’s such a shame that the kids are going to be heartbroken, but we can’t work unpaid forever.’ The problem was that Santa didn’t have any money.”The kids will be so sad if there isn’t any gifts under there Christmas tree.” He mumbled. He trudged back to his house and stammered to Mrs. Claus about the eleves going on strike.
Mrs.Claus gave Santa a cup of tea, advising him to calm down. She also gave Santa some of the cookies that she made. Then suddenly, Santa brightened up and smiled. “That’s it! We can give the elves some of the cookies instead of money!” He exclaimed. “Great idea.”Mrs.Claus said calmly. Santa anounced his idea to the elves and they hesitated for a moment, but they tasted the cookies and said that the cookies were terrific and that they agreed to the idea. They brought all the presents. There were so much of them that they barely fit in the sleigh! Santa delivered the gifts and on Christmas, all the children had a happy holiday with their families and PRESENTS!
