EVELYN’S SCHOOL TROUBLES, WORRY BUBBLES (First Story of Evelyn’s Adventures

Sweat drippling down her cheeks, her legs covered in sand. With desire for the water, Evelyn climbed the stairs, took a big leap, and performed 2 magnificent somersaults before diving head-first into the ocean. In case you were wondering, Let me tell you how Evelyn lookes like. Evelyn is a tall 11-year-old girl with blond hair up to her waist, deep blue eyes, and white skin slightly tanned. “Wow!” her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mendoza exclaimed in impression. Evelyn excitedly said to them, “It was so fun with my friends today! Summer’s almost over. I can’t wait to begin 6th grade with Charlize, Ivy and Jessi!” Suddenly, the parents’s expressions darkened. They calmly explained, “Evelyn, we are sorry, but you won’t be going to Miami Canton Elementary School for 6th grade. you will going to Sage Academy in Seattle.”

Evelyn ran. She ran past Charlize and Ivy, who looked confused. She ran past Jesssi who greeted her cheerfully. She didn’t stop until she was home in her room. She cried out to herself. She has been going to Miami Canton Elementary school straight from when she was in 1st grade and she’s been BFFs with Ivy ever since she was 6 monthes old. How could they seperate and break the last F from – she didn’t get to finish her thought because at that very moment, the door slightly opened and Mrs. Mendoza questioned softly, “Are you in here, Evelyn?” Evelyn responded, “Yes, mom. But I don’t want to move or change schools or leave my best friends. Espescialy not Ivy.” But it was useless. In 4 days, they boarded the plane headed for Seattle.

The plane landed. It was a beautiful afternoon: sun shining glamorously, cool breezes, and not a hint of clouds, but Evelyn wanted to go to the library rather than play outside. After she picked out a thick, heavy book from her favorite series, she checked it out, but when she took it off the table , it fell with a loud BAM! Everyone there looked up frowning and angrilly said “shh!” She was red from head to toes with embarrasement.

After that she went to buy some snacks, but: 1. A gust of wind made her hair cover her eyes, 2. She couldn’t see, so she bumped into a girl her age who was heading out of the shop and both of them fell, 3. As Evelyn stood back up in the shop, the floor slippery and she slipped, crashed into a stand, and the snacks fell down. 4. Blushing, she collected them but the stand was too high for her so she jumped, 5. And landed on a bag of chips that poped. The girl that Evelyn bumped into said, “I don’t know about other parts of USA, but here in Seattle we don’t harm people in any ways just to get attention. I bet where you came from is filled with rude people.” How embarassing! Just when she needed new friends. Feeling let down, Evelyn headed back home.

“Wake up, sleepyhead! Breakfast”s in the fridge!” Mr. Mendoza yelled joyfully. It was the first day of school. Evelyn put her pillow on her face and yelled back, “Just 5 more minutes.” Clearly, she did not want to get and go to her new school. But her dad shouted, “No, now! You are going to be late if you stay longer.” “Fine,” Evelyn mumbled. She ate some cerial and got ready for school.

When she got there, she wanted to go straight to her classsroom, but she got lost in the halls because the school was GIGANTIC. When she finally found a way through that maze and entered her classroom, everyone was already there, shaking their heads of disapproval at her and the teacher gave her a glaring look. She looked as if in her early 30s, she had long navy hair held up and sharp, icy blue eyes. She firmly said, “My name is Ms. Furi. Here at Sage Academy, we don’t approve of being late to class. I will leave you with a warning this time. But next time, there will be consequences. And I guess you weren’t paying attention to the principle. That is why you clearly don’t know that tie is a mandatory part of the uniform.” Evelyn gulped and quickly put on her tie.

In the cafeteria at lunch time, Evelyn approached a friendly-looking girl who was a bit shoter than her. She timidly asked, “Hi, My name is Evelyn Mendoza. Can I sit at you table?” A cold response came back, “Hello. I’m Cassi Lavoisier. You must be the one from Miami. Scarlett told me that you bumped into her, and ruined a product just for attention. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go sit my friends: Scarlett Klimson, Beatrice Schumann, Lena montgomory, and Jacinta Val.” Evelyn reluctantly trudged to an empty table but she only ate an apple.

But then, as she getting up from her seat, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and saw a girl her age with black, sparkling eyes. She said excitedly, “Hi! I couldn’t help overhearing you conversation with Cassi and don’t worry. I’ve never seen Cassi, Bea, Lena, and Jassy be open to new people. It will take a few weeks for them to get used to you. But in the meantime, do you want to be friendes with me?” “Yes! Yes! Of course!” Evelyn responded, “I am Evelyn and you are…?” “I’m Paulina. Paulina Prescottt.”

At 4 o’clock, Mr. Mendoza came to pick up Evelyn. He questioned, “Did anything interesting happen in school today?” After deliberately thinking the question over and over again, Evelyn shrugged and replied, ” Nothing.” Mr. Mendoza looked at her sarcasticly for a few seconds, then both of them cracked up into a huge laughter.
