Why do we need to save the Earth from carbon dioxide? I mean, the Earth’s still going to be fine while we are living. To those people, I have something very important to say.
This summer, in New Delhi, India, the temperature got over 50°C and approximately 110 people died from heat.
As of 2023, Earth’s average temperature has risen by 1.2 degrees Celsius. When the temperature elevates by 6°C, a mass extinction is said to occur. 1.2 vs. 6. Is it really that much different?
Now I’d like to introduce you some ways that sound plain but will bring a definite change.
First of all, you could use public transportations and try to limit using cars. If you don’t ride cars for 4 days a week on a 30-mile daily commute you could reduce about 2.56 tons of carbon dioxide a year.
Also, did you, by any chance, leave the lights on and all the plugs pugged in when you left the house today? If you know how much carbon dioxide are released for electricity, from now on, you could wear thick clothes and lower the heater in the house.
Lastly, the ocean is a carbon-eating hippo. But a dirty ocean is a hippo on a diet. Let’s not trash the ocean.
Some may wonder, I don’t see how just me helping can reduce carbon dioxide. Nope! One passionate person can be the one saving Earth. Try your best! You are not alone.
